Survey and BlackBox 3.0 versions released

RSIC has officially released the 3.0 versions of RSIC Survey and RSIC BlackBox. These new major releases of RSIC's most popular products, contain many improvements and new functions.

RSIC Survey 3.0 offers the following new functions and improvements:

• Support for PDF as export format for data reports, further increasing reporting versatility.
  
• Insertion of clickable Google™ maps link in PDF exports for captured GPS locations.
  
• Full remote configuration possibilities by using custom BES policies.
  
• Full remote configuration using the web-based Remote Policy Configurator tool found at http://oams.rsic.mobi/rpc/survey.
  
• A new feature to allow the retention of the last value that was entered and saved in a specific field, further increasing user friendliness.
  
• Improved support for large templates.
  
• New options to specify the data export method, including the possibility to specify the maximum size and maximum number of records per mail.
  
• A new automatic template import function, including an overwrite option.
  
• A function to rename templates.
  
• Support for multiple photo fields on a template.
  

RSIC BlackBox 3.0 offers the following new functions and improvements:

• Remote configuration: BlackBox now offers complete remote configuration of the application, either using BES policies or RSIC’s Remote Configuration Tool at http://oams.rsic.mobi/rpc/blackbox. This exciting new functionality allows organizations to take complete control of the configuration of BlackBox on the BlackBerry devices of their users.
  
• Remote management of projects: using a web-based interface, organizations or individual users can now create and deploy projects online from http://oams.rsic.mobi/pmi/blackbox.
  
• New reporting in PDF format: with version 3.0 BlackBox now officially supports reporting in PDF. PDF reports have a invoice-like format and are ideal for professionals that need to inform their clients or others of project related time, travel and expenses.
  
• Route tracking functionality: with its new route tracking functionality, BlackBox can track the exact movement of the end-user in industry standard .gpx or .kml file formats, provided there is an accurate GPS fix.
